Cefpodoxime Tablets contain Cefpodoxime, which is a wide-spectrum antibiotic and is effective against both gram-positive and negative bacteria. Cefpodoxime Tablets prevent bacterial cell covering (cell wall formation), which is essential for their survival. Therefore, this medication kills the bacteria and helps in preventing and treating bacterial infections.

Uses of Cefpodoxime Tablets

Cefpodoxime Tablets fall under a medication category called cephalosporin antibiotics. It is used in the treatment of various bacterial infections in the throat, ear, nose, urinary tract, lower respiratory tract, skin, and soft tissue. Bacterial infections develop due to harmful bacteria multiplication on or inside the body. It is to be noted that Cefpodoxime Tablets do not work against viral infections such as colds or flu.
